<p>When reaction force to an operation lever (10) is not generated, operation control of a motor vehicle performed depending on the amount of displacement of the lever (10) can be changed. The following are provided in a motor vehicle control device for accelerating, decelerating and steering the vehicle in accordance with the operation of the operation lever (10): reaction force generation means (20) for generating reaction force on the operation lever (10), an electric current sensor (28), etc. for detecting failure of reaction force, and an electric control device (50) for dampening the response of operation control performed by the operation lever (10) in accordance with passage of time when the failure is detected. A steering control device (66) is also provided, and the device (66) expands a steering angle dead zone and sets operation control in a state before failure of reaction force is detected when operation speed of the operation lever (10) is higher than a predetermined value when the failure is detected. The electric control device (50) controls an engine control device (64) to reduce the speed of the vehicle when failure of reaction force is detected.</p> |
