<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set an index of birefringence and an RC value within a specification range, even when a cooling time is shortened. <P>SOLUTION: The device comprises a cavity side half 2 of a mold for demarcating a cavity 4 for molding a disc substrate 31 and a movable half 3, both being positioned opposite to each other and able to come into contact with and separate from each other, and a stamper 6 which has a pattern to be transferred to the disc substrate 31, formed on one side and is arranged at either of the cavity side half 2 or the movable half 3. A resin material is injected into the cavity 4 to its full capacity by setting the thickness of the cavity 4 to be slightly smaller than that of the disc substrate 31 in the initial stage of the molding operation and the mold clamping force is weakened step by step. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
