PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of the deformation in the outer cabin exceeding the specified value caused by temperature difference between an upper half part and a lower half part of an outer cabin of a steam turbine. SOLUTION: This internal forced cooling system prevents the generation of the temperature difference between the upper half part 2-1 and the lower half part 2-2 of the outer cabin 2 when the steam turbine is stopped and vacuum is broken. A cooling pipe 32 for making cooling air flow in the upper half part 2-1 of the outer cabin 2 in a steam inlet 21 part of an intermediate-pressure stage 20 is installed, and a solenoid value 28 which opens when the temperature difference between the upper half part 2-1 and the lower half part 2-2 of the outer cabin 2 exceeds the specified value is installed in the cooling pipe 32, and when the temperature difference between the upper half part 2-1 and the lower half part 2-2 of the outer cabin 2 exceeds the specified value, cooling air is made to flow for cooling, and the deformation of the outer cabin 2 caused by the temperature difference is prevented. A cooling pipe 15 is installed in a steam inlet 11 part in a high-pressure stage 10, and a solenoid valve 16 which opens when the temperature difference between the upper half part 2-1 and the lower half part 2-2 of the outer cabin 2 exceeds the specified value is installed in the cooling pipe 15.
