PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a timber joint metal which is formed by partially peeling a thin metal to erect a number of claws from the same, dispenses with preliminary formation of a step of a considerable depth in objective timber to which the metal is driven, in such a case as cramp driving or triangular plate driving, and improves the earthquake resistance thereof compared with a conventional one. SOLUTION: The timber joint metal 100 is formed by partially peeling a thin steel plate 1 to form a number of the claws 2, 2, etc., erected therefrom, and twisting the claws 2, 2, etc., in a direction that engages with the timber, i.e., in a longitudinal direction of the claws. The claws are not uniform in length but they are formed of long claws 2a, 2a, etc., and short claws 2b, 2b, etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
