PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of removing scale attached to piping, etc., efficiently. SOLUTION: At least the scale-attached surface side of a scale removal object to which the scale is attached is covered with a solvent. By supplying a frequency signal to a coil, a magnetic field is formed and the scale removal object and the solvent are disposed in the magnetic field. The signal having the frequency which is set beforehand for every scale is supplied to the coil as the frequency signal. The frequency of the frequency signal supplied to the coil which is set beforehand is designed to be the frequency when a current flows through the solvent extending over the scale in the magnetic field formed by the supply of the frequency signal to the coil.
