PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an Al-Mg aluminum alloy sheet for a cap, which hardly causes curving of a printing character, or the like, when formed into a cap. SOLUTION: The aluminum alloy sheet comprises 0.5-2.1% Mg (wt.%, hereafter) and the balance aluminum with inevitable impurities. The aluminum alloy sheet forms ears in the open end when drawn into a cup, wherein heights of the ears forming in two portions in directions of 0°and 180°against the rolling direction are lower than those forming in the four portions in the directions of 45°against the rolling direction. Earing rates of the ears formed in the two portions in the directions of 0°and 180°against the rolling direction are preferably 2.0% or less, and the earing raters of the ears formed in the four portions in the directions of 45°against the rolling direction are preferably 2.5% or less.
