PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an additive composition for a coating material effective for suppressing the progress of corrosion from the inside and outside of the coating film and exhibiting a rust-proofing property over a long period. SOLUTION: The additive composition is a strongly alkaline powdery material composed of an inorganic mixture containing calcium compounds, silica compounds, aluminum compounds, iron compounds, magnesium compounds, sulfur compounds, sodium compounds and potassium compounds.
