PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roof console device for a vehicle, where a contained article can be easily recognized even at night or at a dark place like a garage, which is fixed on a ceiling of a baggage compartment in the rear of a vehicle, and which is used as an article holder. SOLUTION: The roof console device for the vehicle includes a body 2 which is fixed on the ceiling of the baggage compartment in the rear of the vehicle and has an almost box-shaped housing space, and lid 3 which is supported by the body 2 in an openable an closeable manner. A stopper mechanism which does not open the lid 3 by more than a fixed angle to the body 2 is provided. The inside of the lid 3 is lightened by a room lamp 4 arranged adjacently to the housing space of the body 2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
