<p>PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for processing EAFD (electric arc furnace dust) are provided to remove chlorine (Cl) contained in the EAFD so that EAFD generated during steelmaking operation of electric arc furnace is used as a subsidiary raw material for cement. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a chlorine removing means(300) for removing chlorine contained in gas and dust particles generated when performing steelmaking operation through electric arc furnace(100); a cooling means(500) for cooling dust particles from which chlorine is removed through the chlorine removing means; and a storage means(700) for storing the dust particles cooled through the cooling means so that the stored dust particles are utilized as a subsidiary raw material for cement, wherein the chlorine removing means is a gas/solid separator for separating the gas and dusts discharged from the electric arc furnace into gas and solid, wherein the apparatus comprises a discharge hopper(320) mounted on the lower part of the chlorine removing means to discharge the chlorine removed dust to the lower side; and a particle size sorting means(800) installed at the lower part of the discharge hopper to discharge dusts whose particle size is the same as or less than a set reference value to the storage means through duct by respectively sorting the chlorine removed dusts discharged through the discharge hopper according to particle sizes, and wherein the particle size sorting means comprises a filter part on which certain sized holes are formed to filter the dusts discharged through the discharge hopper according to particle sizes respectively; and a vibration part for effectively filtering the dusts discharged through the discharge hopper by vibrating the filter part.</p> |
