<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus in which leakage of noise is suppressed by reducing the gap of the housing. <P>SOLUTION: An inverting unit 10 has a manual feed tray 4 and is arranged to be set removably in the body of the imaging apparatus. The manual feed tray 4 has a sensor 8 for detecting presence of a sheet and the inverting function of the inverting unit 10 is controlled based on its detection information.
