<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an immunocompetence-improving composition suppressing the reduction of the immunocompetence caused by various stress loads including a mental stress, being safe and not exhibiting adverse effects and having effectiveness for preventing and treating diseases caused by the reduction of the immunocompetence such as an infectious disease. <P>SOLUTION: This immunocompetence-improving composition is provided by incorporating GABA (γ-amino butyric acid) which is a neurotransmitter substance of a suppressing system in the brain as an active ingredient of the immunocompetence-improving composition for improving the immunocompetence or its indicators, an IgA (immunoglobulin A) value or a CgA (chromogranin A) value in saliva. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
