PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel light shade which can not only effectively shade the light from outside, is not obstructive in housing the light shade into a bag, case, etc., during the time not in use and is extremely user friendly. SOLUTION: The light shade 1 to be attached to an apparatus C having an image display surface D by which images are displayed is provided with at least first to third light shading sections 9 to 12 respectively electrode from the apparatus C side so as to enclose the surface D, in which the sections 9 to 12 are all made foldable to close the whole or part of the surface D and one among the sections 9 to 12 is formed as a cap section 11 for maintaining the state of the other light shading sections 9, 10 and 12 by being folded to be superposed thereon.
