PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To electrically correct the uniformization of the scanning speed of a light deflector performing reciprocation such as a resonant scanner without performing the optical correction of an fθlens or an arc sine lens or the like. SOLUTION: In an optical scanner device in which N bits of image data Dn are inputted and whose light emitting/unlit time is controlled according to output from an M-bit serial parallel converter, image size correction data set for every pixel No in a scanning direction in accordance with the change of the scanning speed are provided to correct the image size without changing the light emitting time from that before correction by adding the unlit time as long as the time decided according to the image size correction data. The scanner has an image size correction means for adding the unlit time so that an unlit time adding position can be on the right side of a light emitting period in the case of a pixel (left growth) having a light emitting pattern that the light is emitted from the left end of the pixel, it can be on the left side of the light emitting period in the case of a pixel (right growth) having a light emitting pattern that the light emission is finished at the right end, and it can be dispersed to both sides of the light emitting period in the case of a pixel (center growth) having a light emitting pattern that the light is emitted in the center and the unlit period exists at both ends.
