PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shield building with simple structure capable of reducing amount of material. SOLUTION: An outer side wall 9 stood surrounding a containment vessel 3 and having an air intake 4 at the upper part, a roof 10 connecting to the upper ridge of the outer side wall 9 and having an opening 12 in the middle part, and baffle 11 extending downward from the lower surface near the periphery of the roof 10 and facing the outer side wall 9 inner surface and the containment outer surface with gaps 13 and 14 are provided. The outer side wall 9, the roof 10 and the baffle 11 are formed in one with steel structure, so that the structure is simplified and the amount of material is reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
