PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder which can recognize whether a message concerning to print is delivered from the requester side to a user or not. SOLUTION: Upon receiving an originating IP address and print data (ST1, ST2), receiving time of a print request is stored (ST3). A name corresponding to the IP address is then read out from an IP address registration table 9b (ST4) and a voice generating section 13 delivers a voice message 'Printing of total X copies of N print sheets received at T o'clock M minute is started' (ST5). Subsequently, the voice generating section 13 delivers a voice message 'printing of i-th copy is started' before printing each i-th copy of 1≤i≤X and a voice message 'printing of i-th copy is ended' after printing the i-th copy (ST6-ST10).
