<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems of easy cracking and to provide a lead zirconate titanate (PZT) fiber having excellent performances without requiring the formation of comb-teethed electrode by combining PZT ceramics having high piezoelectric effects with a heat-resistant metal wire such as a titanium wire and platinum and an electroconductive composite material, a smart board using the PZT fiber and an actuator and a sensor utilizing the smart board. <P>SOLUTION: The PZT fiber 3 is obtained by coating the surface of the metal wire 1 such as the titanium wire or platinum as a core wire with a PZT crystal and forming a PZT crystal film thereon. The smart board using the PZT fiber 3 can be formed by forming a part 8 of the PZT crystal film so as to be embedded in an electroconductive composite material layer 9 such as a carbon-fiber reinforced plastic.
