PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of efficiently performing temperature control or heating control. SOLUTION: A temperature sensor 33 is arranged between a thin film transistor substrate 20 and a counter substrate 21. On the basis of the temperature detected by the sensor 33, it is controlled whether or not voltage for heating is to be supplied to wiring 51 for pixel signals connecting the counter electrodes 32 arranged on the counter substrate 21 or each pixel electrode 31.
