PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To offer simple construction for increasing the number of negative ions to be generated in air by using negative ion generating means utilizing activated stones. SOLUTION: The air activating element E comprises a plurality of ceramic balls 2 stored in an internal space of a spring coil 1 as a flexible member and clips 3 provided as mounting members at both ends of the coil. The spring coil 1 has no trouble in distributing air and each ceramic ball 2 is formed into a preset-diameter sphere by mixing natural stones including Kiyouseki (one of negative-ion generating ore) with a ceramic material.
