<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stretchable warp knitted fabric, when the fabric is longitudinally stretched, neither causing much ripples in the cross direction nor causing cross directional shrinkage at the center part in the length direction. <P>SOLUTION: The stretchable warp knitted fabric (10) comprises a warp knitting yarn (11) forming a wale (W), a weft inserting yarn running in the course (C) direction and a stretchable warp inserting yarn (12) running in the wale direction. The weft inserting yarn comprises a first weft inserting yarn (13) forming the ground weave and a plural number of second weft inserting yarns (14, 14a, 14b,...) comprising at least a nonstretchable yarn and each running in the course direction on a different wale region on the same course with a optional length and crossing with the first weft inserting yarns (13) between the courses. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
