PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a recorder capable of frameless recording on at least one end part of a recording medium in which staining on the back of the recording medium due to static electricity is avoided through an inexpensive arrangement. SOLUTION: In the recorder where a platen 6 supporting a sheet has an opening for releasing an ink drop ejected to a position deviating from the sheet at the position for performing recording by ejecting ink, a carry roller 8 located on the upstream side of the opening of the platen 6 in the carrying direction of sheet conducts to the metal chassis 40 of the printer body through an earth spring 50 or a bearing member.
