摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize the operating time of an amplifier from the point of view of reducing electric power consumption. SOLUTION: An amplifier 4 which amplifies one gray scale voltage that is selected in correspondence with the data line of a liquid crystal panel, a switch 5 which is serially connected to the output terminal of the amplifier 4, a switch 6 whose terminals are respectively connected to the input terminal of the amplifier 4 and the output terminal of the switch 5 and a bias current control circuit 2 which supplies a bias current to the amplifier in a pulse interval of amplifier control signals, are provided. One horizontal synchronization interval is divided into a first interval in which the switches 5 and 6 are turned off, a second interval in which the switch 5 is turned on and the switch 6 is turned off and a third interval in which the switch 5 is turned off and the switch 6 is turned on. The pulse interval of the amplifier control signals covers from a prescribed time prior to a rise of the second interval to a falling time of the interval. Furthermore, an amplifier control signal selecting circuit 7 is provided to select one of a plurality of the amplifier control signals having different pulse widths. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
