PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a file which is not closed for opened without an intentional operation and is easy to use, in the file provided with: a pair of surface and back surface opening/closing covers, a back cover provided between base ends of these opening/closing covers; and a binding tool which is provided on the inner face sides of the back cover or the opening/closing covers and binds a body to be bound such as documents. SOLUTION: A notch 24 is formed across from a region corresponding to the binding tool 3 to a region being not corresponding to the bonding tool 3 at a closed position were at least one of the opening/closing cover parts 2a and 2b is closed to the back cover B, and a hooking part 22 engaging with the binding tool 3 is formed at a site surrounded by the notch 24. A contact region 23 being brought into contact with the binding tool 3 and controlling engaging of an engaging means L constituted with the hooking part 22 and the binding tool 4 is set at a site being outside of the notch 24 on the opening/ closing cover parts 2a and 2b.
