PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation measurement system and measurement method for accurately measuring radiation in the case of radiation measurement underwater by using a measuring device with simple constitution and shortening time. SOLUTION: In the radiation measurement system 1, a hollow vessel 22 guiding radiation and a collimator 6 with variable axial length are provided to a detector vessel 7 containing a radiation detector 10. On the side of the hollow vessel 22 facing a specimen 14, a hooking recess 25 capable of hooking is provided and water on the line connecting each part outside the specimen 14 and the radiation detector 10 is exhausted. In the radiation measurement method radiation is measured by supporting the specimen 14 between an installing tool 41 and the hollow vessel 22. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
