PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the quality of products by enabling the sure prevention of the occurrence of a blur and to make application possible regardless of the kinds of the apparatus and liquid to be used. SOLUTION: The method for processing optical glass components comprises managing the concentration of the neutral carbon dioxide (CO<SB>2</SB>) in the liquid contacting the optical glass components to≤10 ppm in a process step of processing the optical glass components. More particularly a vacuum deaeration process and/or aeration process is effective for lowering the concentration of the neutral CO<SB>2</SB>. In the aeration, such gases as gaseous nitrogen, and other inert gas, gaseous oxygen, dry air and gaseous ammonia, which are not causative of the occurrence of the blur, are introduced into the liquid.
