PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize revolving motion of a movable scroll 26 and enhance compression efficiency of a scroll compressor 1 by relating force for pressing the movable scroll 26 against a fixed scroll 22 to variation of upsetting moment resulting from revolving of the movable scroll 26. SOLUTION: An adjustment mechanism 56 is provided to generate anti- upsetting moment for reducing the upsetting moment in a revolving angle range in which the upsetting moment acting on the movable scroll 26 exceeds a predetermined value during the revolving of the movable scroll 26.
