GAS ENGINE AND ITS CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas engine and its control method which does not deteriorate operating conditions, even if the properties of fuel gas change during combustion operation of a gas engine. SOLUTION: The gas engine has a means (a fuel gas heating value measurement means 6A) which measures the heating value of the fuel gas (G) flowing in a fuel gas supply lien (4) interposed in the fuel gas supply line (4), and a control means (a control unit 10A) which controls the fuel gas (G) supply amount based on the measured result of measurement means (a fuel gas heating value measurement means 6A) which measures the heating value of the fuel gas (G).
