PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a large printing sheet by joining sheets together. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method uses two sheets S1 and S2 on whose surfaces indication elements such as patterns, characters, etc. are printed, and the two sheets S1 and S2 are transported synchronously in such a condition that the end of the sheet S2 is overlapped on the end of the sheet S1 in alignment with their indication elements positioned identical, and a trowel 1 is inserted into the overlapping place of the two sheets so as to melt their ends, and thereby inclined joining surfaces 51 and 52 are formed. The overlapping place of the joining surfaces 51 and 52 is pressed and welded. After formation of the inclined joining surfaces, a tape 4 is joined in such a way as striding the overlapping place of the joining surfaces 51 and 52. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
