PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch which can prevent a pressing member from damaging a moving-side optical fiber and prolong the life of the moving-side optical fiber. SOLUTION: In the optical switch which selectively switches and connects the optical path of the moving-side fiber 2 to optical paths of a plurality of fixed-side fibers 1 by pressing the moving-side optical fiber 2 against an optical fiber positioning groove 4 of an optical fiber support member 3 with a pressing part 5a of a pressing member (hammer) 5, the pressing member 5 is provided with a damper 6 which damps the operation of the pressing member 5.
