PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biochemical analyzer equipped with a position adjustment mechanism capable of simply and efficiently adjusting the controlled variable for driving a pulse motor to stop a spotting nozzle on the like at a target position precisely. SOLUTION: In the biochemical analyzer 1 for measuring components by sucking a specimen using a spotting nozzle 45 and spotting the specimen in dry type analysis elements conveyed to a spotting position driven by a pulse motor 54 (68, 52), there are provided an electrically conductive probe 71 installed at the tip of the spotting nozzle 45, an electrically conductive probe target 72 set at a prescribed position, and a control unit CU electrically connected to the probe 71 and the target 72 for detecting their contact and controlling the driving of the pulse motor. By starting the pulse motor driving from the original point and counting and storing the pulse number until the contact between the probe 71 and the target 72 is detected, the control unit CU adjusts and sets the controlled variable for driving the pulse motor to the target position of the spotting position based on the count number.
