PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a resinous gear, comprising impregnating a liquid resin into a reinforcing fibrous substrate in a mold, heat-curing the resin and machining the obtained molding to form cogs, wherein machinability of the cogs is improved to obtain the cog surface having small relative roughness and, thereby, durability of the gear is improved. SOLUTION: This method comprises compounding 0.2-1.3 mass% lubricant selected from (a) fatty acid higher alcohol esters, (b) montanic acid esters, (c) higher fatty acid amides and (d) polyethylene oxide waxes into the liquid resin for impregnating into the reinforcing fibrous substrate in forming the moldings.
