PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corrugating apparatus which, even when the feed rate is brought to a high value, can evenly heat the whole polymeric sheet and can form the sheet into a desirably corrugated shape without applying tensile stress during forming, and can keep the thickness of the whole polymeric sheet even, whereby, even when tension is applied in degreasing, baking and cooling steps, breaking is less likely to occur. SOLUTION: This corrugating apparatus is provided with a plurality of transfer bars 11 provided while leaving spaces among them, a conveyor 12 for endlessly moving the transfer bars in a direction orthogonal to the axis of the transfer bars, a mesh belt 20 having a small heat capacity placed on the plurality of transfer bars in an inward concaved state at its position between the transfer bars, a sheet feed device 14 for feeding the polymeric sheet 1 on the mesh belt at a speed A higher than the moving speed B of the mesh belt, and a heating device 16 for heating the polymeric sheet being transferred to its softening temperature.
