PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airborne map information display device enabling a user to easily recognize the topography by arraying topographic map windows with cross-section windows generated in a horizontal position and a vertical position and superimposing the symbol of a present flying aircraft in the traveling direction and perpendicular direction to be displayed on the cross-section windows. SOLUTION: The airborne map information display device is provided with a shade display means for plotting a shaded picture on the topographical map in correspondence with the difference of altitude in a flying area, a reach range plotting means for superimposing and displaying a navigation direction line indicating the reach range of a radio wave radiated from the present flying aircraft on the topographic map on which the shaded picture is plotted, a topographic cross-section plotting means for plotting, on the cross-section windows arrayed in the vertical direction and horizontal direction along the topographic window, a curved topographic cross-section with ruggedness corresponding to the altitude in the area within the reach range of the radio wave radiated from the present flying aircraft, and a display window setting means for superimposing and displaying the symbol of the present flying aircraft on one topographical cross section in the traveling direction of the present flying aircraft and for superimposing and displaying the symbol of the present flying aircraft in the right angle direction on the other topographical cross-section in the right angle direction of the present flying aircraft.
