PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire which enables reduction of road noise and flat spots and high-speed durability and in which chords of a belt reinforced layer and a belt do not contact each other. SOLUTION: In this pneumatic radial tire provided with a radial carcass, at least a single layer of a belt arranged outside in the radial direction of a crown part of the carcass, and a belt reinforced layer arranged outside in the radial direction of the belt, the belt reinforced layer comprises a complex chord in which aromatic polyamide and nylon are twisted, the complex chord has a low elastic zone from the origin of a stress-elongation curve to an inflexion point and a high elastic zone exceeding the inflexion point, the inflexion point is in the range less than 2% in elongation, and the belt reinforced layer is formed by winding the complex chord on a rigid core in the tire circumferential direction continuously in the spiral state.
