PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set a dehumidifying operation mode according to living needs. SOLUTION: In an operation remote controller 2, four dehumidifying operation mode information pieces Ae, Be, Ce, De are stored in a storage part 21 of a microcomputer 13, whereby every time a dehumidifying button 14 is operated, the information pieces are read in order and transmitted to the body 1 with an operation start signal. In the body 1, the operation start signal and the dehumidifying operation mode information pieces are received, and the dehumidifying operation mode information pieces are stored in a storage part 3, whereby the specified temperature, humidity, quantity of air and operation time of the dehumidifying operation are set. A CPU 10 detects the temperature and humidity from a room temperature detector 5, a humidity detector 6 and an outside air temperature detector 5', and the rotational frequencies of an interior fan motor 7, an exterior fan motor 8 and a compressor motor 9 are calculated from the relationship between these detection results and the above settings to start the dehumidifying operation specified by the dehumidifying operation mode information.
