PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely expel soil toner on a pressure roller regardless of a durability mode. SOLUTION: An intermittent printing time is monitored. When the time is long, only a post-heat sequence is performed, and when the time is short, the post-heat sequence is combined with a pre-heat sequence. Alternatively, before a printing operation, a temperature is detected by a thermister used for a heater.
