PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a taped-component connecting member which is excellent in reliability and flexibility, and to provide a method and a device for connecting a taped component. SOLUTION: The taped component 12 is connected to the trailing end and leading end of the carrier tape by using an adhesive-layer-having substrate tape 64 in which an adhesive layer 62 is formed on one side of a backing tape 60 made of a synthetic resin. Also, it is connected to the trailing end and leading end of a cover tape by using an adhesive-layer-having substrate tape 84. To connect them together, the substrate tape 64 and the trailing end and leading end of the carrier tape are set in relation to the positioning pins 104 of the connecting device 54, and heat is applied to them while pressure is exerted by means of a pair of pressure bodies 100 and 102. The adhesive of the adhesive layer 62 contains a thermosetting resin, produces adhesive force by the application of heat, and affixes the substrate tape 60 to the trailing end and leading end of the carrier tape, thereby firmly connecting them.
