CPU cooling apparatus with thermal pipe

A CPU cooling apparatus for a personal computer comprises a thermal pipe 21 with a metal weave passing through a hollow base portion 221 of a set of fins 22 and through a plurality of overlapping heat sinks 24 covered by the casing of a fan 25. The hollow base portion 221 of the set of fins 22 is covered by a sheet of metal 222 and a fastener 23 is provided for fastening the set of fins to a CPU socket. Each heat sink 24 has an opening corresponding to each thermal pipe 21. The fan 25 casing 251 has at least one screw hole for attachment of the fan 25 to a housing of the personal computer. The sheet of metal 222 may be of copper. The thermal pipe 21 may be curved. The heat sinks 24 may be of aluminium. The fan 25 may be arranged to blow air from the interior of the housing to the exterior of the housing.
