PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic image receiving sheet having excellent dispersibility which can be stably and efficiently manufactured and is suitable to be used for appliances using electrophotographic processes such as a copying machine, a printer, a facsimile or the like, and to provide a method for forming an image by using the above electrophotographic image receiving sheet. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic image receiving sheet has at least one coating layer applied on a supporting body, and the coating layer contains a water-soluble polymer with a hydrophobic molecular end group. The water-soluble polymer with a hydrophobic molecular end group is preferably a specified PVA-based or polyglycerine-based compound. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
