<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new electroforming method for manufacturing a seamless flexible member having no pin holes or projections, etc., to provide a cylindrical metallic base mold to be used for the electroforming method and developing no material defects or pitting corrosion, to provide a method for working the above cylindrical metallic base mold and further to suppress the manufacturing cost by minimizing the number of roughly worked spare products for the necessary manufacturing number of the cylindrical metallic base molds. <P>SOLUTION: The base material for cylindrical metallic base mold is an austenitic stainless steel tube formed at a temperature not lower than recrystallization temperature. This base material is surface-worked to be used as the cylindrical metallic base mold, and a protection voltage of -0.7 to -3 V is applied to this base mold. The base mold in this state is dipped into a nickel sulfamate solution to manufacture the seamless flexible member with electroforming treatment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
