PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a liquid storage amount large and a structure simple and to stably hold a liquid without a liquid leak. SOLUTION: There are provided an ink storage section 30, an ink chamber 40, a valve 50 arranged so as to move an opening/closing member 52 to release an opening region 51 by a pressure decrease due to a reduction of an ink amount of the ink chamber 40, an outside air communication hole 32a communicating with the outside air, and an air introduction pipe 32 capable of taking the air corresponding to the reduced ink amount into the ink storage section 30 from the outside air communication hole 32a when an ink amount in the ink storage section 30 reduces. A hole diameter of a lower end 32c of the air introduction pipe 32 and a head corresponding to a height from a lower face (nozzle face) of an ink discharge section 100 to the lower end 32c of the air introduction pipe 32 are determined to satisfy P>H, wherein P is a force for holding an ink meniscus at the lower end 32c of the air introduction pipe 32 and H is a pressure of the head.
