PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat developing apparatus which rapidly and uniformly develops a heat-developable material and to further provide a heat developing apparatus free of contamination of a heat drum in the heat developing apparatus over a prolonged period of time and giving high-grade image quality without transferring dirt to a heat-developed heat-developable material. SOLUTION: In a heat developing apparatus which heat-develops a heat- developable material having a photosensitive layer containing a silver salt and a reducing agent and a layer protecting the photosensitive layer on at least one face of a support, the outermost surface layer of a heat drum comprises silicone rubber and carbon nano-tubes or carbon nano-horns are contained in the silicone rubber.
