摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speedily put a projector back into a normal display state without restarting the projector when the device enters an input presence state wherein an image signal is inputted again after the operation state of the projector changes from a normal display state to a no-input-signal state wherein the image signal is not inputted and then enters a power-saving operation state. SOLUTION: An operation state control part changes the operation state of a projection display part to the no-input display state when the state of a synchronizing signal changes from the input-presence state to the no-input state. When the projector enters the no-input display state and the no-input state of the synchronizing signal lasts for a 1st period, the illumination light of an illumination device is made darker than the illumination light in the no-input display state to change the projection display part to the power-saving display state wherein the electric power is made smaller than that in the no- input display state. In the no-input display state or power-saving display state, the operation state of the projection display part is returned to the normal display state when the state of the synchronizing signal changes to the input- presence state.
