PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mode conditioning cord in which the eccentricity of a core at a connection part is accurately controlled and the connection part is miniaturized to thereby realize improvement in the productivity of the cord. SOLUTION: This mode conditioning cord 20 comprises an SM cord 26 having optical connectors 22 and 28 at the both ends thereof, an MM cord 25 having optical connectors 21 and 27 at the both ends thereof, and a connector connection part 24 wherein one side of the optical connector 28 in the SM cord side and one side of the optical connector 27 in the MM cord side are eccentrically connected.
