PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet cartridge capable of preventing sheets of paper from contamination and picking up the sheets with a constant pressure applied to pickup rollers. SOLUTION: The sheet cartridge is composed of a body 20, a pressure plate 30 liftably installed inside the body 20, the pickup rollers 40 to pick up the sheets placed on the pressure plate 30, a spring 50 to press the pressure plate 30 resiliently to the pickup rollers 40, a claw unit 60 supporting the leading edges of the sheets placed on the pressure plate 30 and separating the picked-up sheets one by one, and a dust preventive cover member 70 installed rotatably on the cartridge body 20 and covering the sheets placed on the pressure plate 30.
