PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feed cassette capable of keeping the light shutoff performance and moistureproofness and eliminating the risk of double feed of recording sheets of paper. SOLUTION: The sheet feed cassette has a body 111 furnished with a sheet feed opening 113 where a recording sheet separation part 112 is provide. The separation part 112 is attached to the opening 113 rotatably by a mounting shaft 130, and displacement is generated between the raised separate position and the laid retreat position. A sheet energizing plate 121 is installed on a bottom plate 111a rotatably, energized toward a feed roller 120 by a hold-down spring 138, and displaced between the energized position and the retreated position. A sheet package 114 is loaded in the cassette 110, and the side with the sheet feed opening 113 is set to a thermo-sensitive printer 150. Since the side with the opening 113 is put in the printer 150, there is no risk of deterioration of the light shutoff performance or moistureproofness. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
