PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive carrier that has less projecting parts from the circumference, facilitates assembling work and maintenance and inspection, and has less aging of components or the like. SOLUTION: The carrier 4 comprises a carrier body 4a and at least one pair of casters 4b rotatable about a vertical shaft mounted to the carrier body from the downside. The below side of the carrier body is provided with a lock mechanism 10 for regulating the direction of wheels 44 included in the pair of casters in a certain direction and an operating part 11 for performing regulation or release of the regulation of the caster by the lock mechanism so that they do not project sideward from the carrier body.
