PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet unit in which occurrence of a print error or scumming of print due to scratching of an ink pen on a sheet can be prevented. SOLUTION: The ink jet unit comprises two star wheels 1 disposed, respectively, in the left and right regions B on the outside of a region A where a discharge roller 111 is disposed on the substantially same line as a star wheel 113 such that the wheels 1 touch a sheet 102 at a position lower than the star wheel 113 by about 0.5 mm at most.
