<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a steel plate coil and a packing paper from being damaged when the steel plate coil is packed and improve an unpacking workability for a user. <P>SOLUTION: This packing method packs a steel plate coil 1. After a protector 11 for protecting a corner part between at least the outer circumferential end and the end surface of the steel plate coil 1 is directly adhered to the surface of the steel plate coil 1 by an adhesive tape 12, the steel plate coil 1 is packed together with the protector 11 by an inner circumferential packing paper 3 and an outer circumferential packing paper 4. Also in the case that the coil is transported by a hanger, the edge of the steel plate coil is not scrubbed with a packing paper, so that it is possible to prevent effectively the packing paper from being broken.
