PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical switch which is easy to manufacture and a method of manufacturing optical switch. SOLUTION: Since a mirror base 3 is just inserted vertically into a groove 20 formed on a substrate 1 and it is enough to plate the intersection part where a 1st wiring pattern 22 and a 2nd wiring pattern 23 cross each other at right angles, the bonding operation between the 1st wiring pattern 22 and the 2nd wiring pattern 23 is not necessary and the manufacture becomes simple. Since the 1st wiring pattern and the 2nd wiring pattern are just connected by a 3rd wiring pattern formed on a flexible substrate, the substrate and a mirror base are fixed with resin and it is enough to bend the mirror base vertically, the need for the bonding operation between the 1st wiring pattern and the 2nd wiring pattern is eliminated to facilitate the manufacture.
