PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a printer or the like which prevents printing images from being disturbed even when a rear end of a medium to be printed separates from a supporting member. SOLUTION: The printer has a plurality of ink discharge parts, a guide member set opposite to the ink discharge parts, and the supporting member for supporting the medium to be printed at an upper stream side in a transfer direction of the medium than the guide member, and prints to the medium transferred opposite to the ink discharge parts. When the rear end of the medium separates from the supporting member, the discharge of ink from predetermined discharge parts is stopped. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
